L-Methylfolate from Cardiovascular Research is a scientifically-formulated dietary supplement delivering 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, a synthetic form of the biologically active and stable water-soluble B vitamin known as folic acid. 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, or 5-MTHF, is sourced by Metafolin (L-methylfolate), which requires no conversion because it is bioidentical to folate’s bio-active form.
Folic acid functions similarly to folate. It promotes liver, kidney and blood health, helping the body to absorb nutrients optimally. It also seeks to support the health of a fetus’ spine and back during developmental milestones throughout a pregnancy. Folic acid also is believed to maintain heart and brain health.
