Not only does hydroxocobalamin easily convert to methylcobalamin (a coenzyme form of B12 utilized within the body), but it is also well tolerated by individuals who have trouble taking "pre-methylated" B vitamins. It may also have the unique benefit of helping to support healthy cellular detoxification.
Similarly, folinic acid offers a preferred form of folate that quickly converts to L-methylfolate, the predominant form of folate in circulation in the body. It may be easier for individuals who are sensitive to methylated nutrients to tolerate than supplemental L-methylfolate.
Folate is essential for cell division, growth, and the formation of new red blood cells. Vitamin B12 is required for proper red blood cell formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis. Vitamin B12 functions as a cofactor for methionine synthase and L-methylmalonyl-CoA mutase. Both of these B vitamins are needed to support natural methylation processes.
Suggested Usage
Adults: As needed, take 1 lozenge daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Lozenge may be broken into smaller pieces if a lower amount is desired. Do not take within 5 hours of bedtime as it may interfere with sleep.
