Biotin is synthetic. Hypoallergenic plant fiber is derived from pine cellulose.
Suggested Usage
Take 1 capsule, 1–2 times daily, with a meal.

If pregnant or lactating, consult your physician before taking this product.
There is one case of eosinophilic pleuropericardial effusion with high-dose biotin 10 mg per day in combination with pantothenic acid 300 mg for 2 months, however it is not known if this was a result of the supplementation. Consult your physician for more information.

Great for those who take many supplement

I purchased this product because lab tests showed I was low in it. I have taken this supplement before but the deficiency doesn't correct itself so it looks like I will be on it indefintely. What I like about this brand is the high dosage in the very small capsule. I need to take a full regimen of supplements daily so I find the smaller pill easier to take and this increases my ""compliance"", as the doctors like to say. I use this product for better glucose metabolism and better control over a tendency for systemic yeast overgrowth (a syndrome still denied by most conventional doctors). Good value too.

This product was recommended by my dermotologist as part of treatment for hair. I am an older person and my hair is thinning. I have been using this product for several months and will continue to do so. I don't know for sure how effective it is. My hair is about the same, perhaps not shedding as much. Your body needs biotin to help convert certain nutrients into energy. Biotin plays a role in the health of your hair, skin, and nails. I was told by two of my doctors to stop taking biotin about 2-3 days before having blood tests. Biotin can make blood test results inaccurate, especially tests done for the heart.
