Rhizinate is DGL in a chewable formula, which allows it to mix with saliva for direct action on the gastric mucosa. DGL has been shown to support the mucosal lining of the stomach and intestines.
The stomach maintains an acidic pH that helps to initiate digestion and promote microbial defense, yet its epithelial tissues must be simultaneously shielded against harsh acidic conditions. The stomach’s protective mucin barrier must be intact in order to protect stomach health and comfort.
Those who experience occasional discomfort after consuming coffee, spicy or fried foods may benefit from supplementing with a plant-based agent such as deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL). DGL may help to support the mucosal lining of the stomach and intestines by stimulating natural protective factors in the digestive tract, providing help with occasional indigestion.
Suggested Usage

great digestive aid

Recommended by my naturopath to help with digestion issues following a (wish I hadn't had it) gall bladder removal. When I run out of this, I think I can do without but within a couple of weeks I am back to it. A couple of these about 20 minutes before a meal. It has a strong licorice taste so if you don't care for that, try their chocolate (which sounds horrible to me so I haven't tried it). These work for me. Good luck.
