Proper gastrointestinal motility is essential for optimal rates of nutrient and fluid absorption, elimination of toxins and overall abdominal comfort. GI motility is regulated by over 100 million neurons embedded in the walls of the GI tract. Collectively known as the enteric nervous system, or the “gut brain,” these neurons communicate by way of numerous neurotransmitters and neurohormones to coordinate smooth muscle contraction.
MotilPro supports serotonergic and cholinergic neurotransmission in the GI tract, as serotonin and acetylcholine are the principal neurotransmitters that stimulate GI motility. 5-HTP is absorbed by enterochromaffin cells in the epithelium, in which it is decarboxylated to serotonin using pyridoxal 5’ phosphate as a cofactor. 5-HTP stimulates enteric neurons through activation of 5HT4 receptors.
Ginger modulates serotonin signaling by additional 5HT4 stimulation and by binding type 3 (5HT3) receptors in the enteric nervous system and brain stem, supporting gastric emptying, intestinal transit, healthy visceral sensation and upper GI comfort. Acetyl L-carnitine supports autonomic neuronal health and contributes acetyl groups for the synthesis of acetylcholine, supporting neurotransmission of signals to encourage healthy motility.

Works but can't tolerate it
by Linda R.
This product is effective, but I can't tolerate it because it causes a burning feeling all the way up my esophagus. Tried with food, without food, with a lot of water...makes no difference.

I'm so glad I learned about MoltilPro.

For me, this product was the missing link. I was focusing on fiber and aloe, but my digestive tract has always lacked motility as well--actually to an extreme. (I've failed every clinical test, but mainstream medicine could only diagnose--not help.) These huge pills--mostly ginger, according to the label--are a miracle, when combined with Aloe Lax 225 on a daily basis. (I also take Citrucel twice a day, run almost daily, and eat a low-fat, high-fiber diet.) The suggestion came from your nurse, Jacqueline, and it has proved to be a godsend.

May improve symptoms, but ginger causes some trouble
by Corrie -
I purchased this with a number of other supplements after extensive research to help ease worsening stomach symptoms. I've been taking it for a few weeks and am on the fence. I feel like it has helped with motility; however, the ginger causes a burning sensation in my esophagus and stomach (it feels warm after taking...sort of like after a couple of drinks). I'm planning to research this to see if it's bad or just slightly uncomfortable, because like I said, I do think the supplement helps with motility. In the interim, I've compensated by taking fewer supplements in a sitting and it helps to alleviate the side effects.

I'll make this short and to the point, MotilPro WORKS! As someone with long-standing motility issues, this has been a God-send!
