LugoTab from Hakala Research is an iodine supplement that seeks to support thyroid gland health and promote healthy endocrine system function. The thyroid gland is located in the front of our necks, and is responsible for hormone production and metabolic function. As a result, the thyroid supports many functions in the body. Iodine, a trace mineral found throughout the body, works to support thyroid gland function and seeks to support overall endocrine system health. Iodine is also found in foods like legumes, sea vegetables, cranberries, and other foods, but if you need extra support you might consider taking a supplement.
LugoTab was developed to offer bioavailable iodine in two forms: molecular iodine and potassium iodide. It may also support healthy detoxification.

Tablets dissolve before you can swallow

I had been taking the Iodoral iodine tablets prior to buying the LugoTab 25 mg. The Iodoral 50 mg tablets were too hard to swallow (too big), so I bought the 12.5 mg tablet. That meant taking 4 tablets to get 50 mgs total. I decided to try the LugoTab 25 mg, so I would only need to take 2 tablets. They are a smaller size, so they wouldn't be a problem to swallow. However, they don't have a coating on them, so they start dissolving before you can swallow them. They leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'll finish the bottle, but I'm planning to go back to taking the Iodoral 12.5 mg.

This brand is so much more affordable than Iodoral and they have the same ingredients. I’ve been using Hakala over Iodoral for years now. The price is just too competitive! Highly recommend!
