Dried root of a perennial herb Bupleurum chinese has been traditionally used in Asia and recognized in modern Chinese Herbal Medicine. pain reliving, inflammation inhibitor, hepatoprotective, cholagogic and immunostimulant properties of Bupleurum chinese help to support liver function and relieve digestive disturbances. Fringetree, a shrub of the eastern of America, has been used in Herbal Medicine due to its hepatic, cholagogue, and tonic effect. In the Modern Western Herbal Medicine, both dried root bark and stem bark of Fringe tree are used interchangeably. The bark of fringe tree is good has a beneficial effect on the liver, including acute or constant liver inflammation and more (the recommended dose is approximately 5 g). The bark of the fringe tree is also an excellent bitter tonic and mainly used for liver and gall-bladder, promoting bile flow and stimulating the appetite and gastric secretion.
