great for cold sores

The trick with cold sores is ensuring you have a higher intake of L-Lysine than Arginine. So avoiding foods with arginine is not necessarily appropriate as that can have negative affects on your pancreas according to what I've read. This is not to be construed as medical advice - solely my opinion. Just make sure you are taking Lysine when you feel a cold sore coming on and it should stop it in it's tracks. Minimize the number of foods high in arginine at the same time to keep them at bay.
