Thorne Research Grape Seed Extract (formerly O.P.C.-100) contains Leucoselect Phytosome , a highly bioavailable form with ultimate free-radical fighting oligomeric proanthocyanidins.
Made up of two or more natural flavonoids, these exert a powerful antioxidant effect that may help protect the body's cells and tissues, especially blood vessels. In particular, they may protect cells lining blood vessels, benefitting overall vascular strength and making cell membranes more resistant to injury and degradation.
The antioxidant support for blood vessels may also mean grape seed extract may support optimal eye health, protecting the many delicate vessels and tissues required for good vision.
Grape seed extract may also bind to copper and iron, helping to minimize the oxidative effects of these important minerals.
Bound to phosphatidylcholine - a phospholipid common in cell membranes - grape seed extract is easily incorporated into the body's cells, delivering its antioxidant benefits right where they're needed.
