There are many types of elderberries available, including black, blue, and red, but the black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is the premier variety for boosting immune health. Black elderberries have a high concentration of beneficial flavonoids, called anthocyanins. Anthocyanins give the berry its deep color and are recognized as powerful antioxidants that support healthy immune function. Great tasting gummy that's fun and easy to take. I like the addition of vit C and that they don't stick to each other in the bottle. Can't say I've noticed a boost in my immune system - but I've swapped my basic vitamin C chewables for these and have been happy with the switch so far.
