Both are cultured from a human source; the strains of Bifidobacterium and lactobacillus acidophilus used in Professional Complementary Health Formula formulas are chosen specifically due to their high tolerance to acid and their assimilation into the intestinal walls.
This formula's capsules have been encapsulated using an enteric coating that assists with absorption by protecting its live cultures while passing through the stomach. Without enteric coating, a good portion of the probiotic strains can be destroyed in the stomach before reaching the lower intestine.
Suggested Usage
As a nutritional supplement, take one capsule up to 2 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
