Best Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid contains the sodium salt of R-Lipoic acid (RLA). Unlike pure RLA, BioEnhanced® Na-RALA is a stabilized form of RLA that won’t degrade at high temperatures, is more bioavailable than regular RLA and has no solvent residues.
Lipoic acid (LA) plays an important role in glucose metab- olism and energy production. LA when manufactured occurs in two molecular forms, designated “R” and “S.” The “S” form does not occur naturally in living systems, and studies clearly indicate that the “R” form RLA is more biologically active than the “S” form. This formula includes the vitamin biotin to further support lipoic acid’s metabolic benefits.
