Certified Organic Sesame Oil from Flora is a cold-pressed unlike many other sesame oils that are prepared using chemical extraction methods. 

For over 4000 years Sesame seeds have been known as a source of food oil in many Asian countries. Unfortunately, in industrialized counties, Sesame Oil is mostly produced in large quantities with chemical extraction methods using hexane, bleaching, refining and deodorizing, which results in a bland and tasteless oil.

In contrast, Flora Sesame Oil is a truly cold-pressed oil. Flora performs their cold press production in small batches in state of the art, low heat, low light and oxygen-free environment, then nitrogen-flushed to maintain optimum freshness and prevent oxidation when being bottled.  When refrigerated, Flora Sesame Oil will partially solidify, which shows that it has a high percentage of monounsaturated and saturated fatty acids. This makes Sesame Oil more stable with a longer shelf life.

Suggested Usage

Can be used for stir-frying and sauteing. It also adds a delicious light flavor to salad dressings.
