Bio Essence Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang is a Chinese herbal supplement to tonify the middle and augment the Qi decoction.
Herbs and Actions:
- Astragali (Huang Qi) - Strongly tonifies Qi, strengthens the Spleen and raises Spleen Yang
- Ginseng (Ren Shen) - Strongly tonifies Qi, reinforces Yang and harmonizes the Middle Jiao
- Codonopsis (Dang Shen) - Substitutes for Ren Shen
- Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Bai Zhu) - Strengthens the Spleen and dries Dampness
- Glycyrrhizae (Zhi Gan Cao) - Tonifies the Spleen and harmonizes
- Angelicae Sinensis (Dang Gui) - Tonifies the Qi of the Blood and invigorates and harmonizes the Blood
- Citri Reticulatae (Chen Pi) - Regulates Qi, tonifies the Spleen, assists raising Qi, aids digestion of tonics and prevents bloating which may accompany Qi tonics
- Cimicifugae (Sheng Ma) - Raises Yang, raises sunken Qi and guides other herbs upwards
- Bupleuri (Chai Hu) - Raises Yang Qi and relieves Stagnation
- Zingiberis Recens (Sheng Jiang) - Variation of the formula
- Jujube (Da Zao) - Variation of the formula
Suggested Usage
For adults, take 3 grams (about one heaping teaspoon) with warm water, 2-3 times a day or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
