Berberine 200mg from Thorne (formerly called Berbercap®) is a major immune-enhancing alkaloid found in many plants, including Hydrastis canadensis (goldenseal), Coptis chinensis (Coptis or golden thread), Berberis aquifolium (Oregon grape), Berberis vulgaris (barberry), and Berberis aristata (Indian barberry). Berberine is also known to be beneficial for helping to maintain a healthy balance of normal bacteria in the intestines.
