Premier HCL features the powerful ingredient, betaine hydrochloride, which assists the body’s natural stomach acids in the digestion and absorption of nutrients, especially protein, vitamin B12, calcium, iron and other minerals.
As we age, we typically produce less hydrochloric acid (HCl) which reduces our ability to efficiently absorb nutrients from food. Betaine hydrochloride helps promote the absorption of nutrients. When reduced HCl production is present, it affects the amount of protein and calcium we can absorb and can interfere with bone metabolism. Incomplete protein metabolism can imbalance intestinal flora.
Suggested Usage
Take 1 capsule after each meal daily, especially cooked meals or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

I was muscle tested for this HCL formula by a nutritional professional who uses this line of products in his office, and told to take one with every meal....I was told that I don't produce enough natural HCL. After taking this product for many months, my digestive system works better. I don't have indigestion and I feel my food is absorbed much better. I used to just take plant digestive enzymes but HCL serves a different purpose...breaks down protein and prevents bad bacteria from circulating in the blood stream... Especially helpful for me because I was told I had a leaky gut.

Great product and this is the only HCL you can find without added pepsin (which is usually derived from pigs...gross). Little back story; I've struggled for 25 years with severe stomach pain after meals and never figured it out until I saw a naturopath this year and he said I'm low on HCL. Who would have figured? Doctors and my parents thought I'd get stomach aches from high acid so they'd give me anti acids and wow they were wrong and that made it worse. After taking an HCL during meal time, I rarely get stomach aches anymore. HCL has literally saved me. I wish I knew about it when I was really young! If you experience stomach aches after meals, belching, acid reflux, and lots of gas literally take this product. It's amazing.
