2019 update: I still swear by these supplements and DIM Detox in particular. I took them for about a year then took a break last year when I felt like the supplements effectiveness had worn off. This year I’ve noticed acne coming back so I re-subscribed to my supplements. The most recent bottle I ordered has a VERY funky smell, and I can hardly stand to take them. However, it feels like it’s still doing the same quick job on my hormonal acne which is my top priority, so I won’t dock any stars for the unpleasant taste/smell of this bottle. I should also mention that before ordering this brand again, I tried two other brands of DIM, supposedly stronger doses with bio-perine in them for better absorption - and honestly I didn’t feel like they did anything at all... so I’m back to Pure Encapsulations! I never did end up able to conceive but my husband and I accepted that and moved on :)

Every woman should be taking this supplement! It was not recommended to me by a gynecologist (all of the gyns I've had have personally been terrible and talked me into 2 unnecessary myomectomies for uterine fibroids) but rather my exceptional Integrative GP. I was suffering from extremely large and multiple uterine fibroids. The pain and swelling were unbearable and I was reaching the point of giving in to the terrible advise of undergoing yet a third procedure. This time the gyn wanted me to undergo a complete hysterectomy. Which I refused to do. Within DAYS of taking DIMDetox I began noticing immediate relief of the pain and swelling AND bleeding. It completely normalized my periods.

I tried this product about a year ago but got HORRIBLE headaches from it that just wouldn’t go away. So I discontinued use. Then I read that, like many forms of detoxing, you can get headaches during the initial detox phase- but that the headaches should subside if you can push past the initial phase.

So this time, I started off slow. I did one pill every other day for about 8 days. I did have a mild headache, but decided to push through. After about the 8 day mark, my headache went away, so I went up to one pill every day. No headaches this time, but still waited another week before getting up to the full dose- 2 pills per day.

I have to say, I’m so glad I pushed through, because I’m really liking this supplement. I have zero cramps now and am sleeping better than ever. My cycle is exactly 27 days now and I’ve even noticed less brain fog.

If you got headaches from using this, give it another try but go slow. It will be worth it!!

These are great for handling hormonal ance. I noticed result with my first cycle after taking these. I didn't have any breakouts. I'm near the end of my second cycle and no cystic acne or acne at all. My face is clearly up. I did have headaches on the first day of taking these, but I didn't have anything to eat. So that was on me. I made sure to take them after a meal. I also was taking them every other day and still noticed results.
I'm finally near the end of my first bottle. Unfortunately, pure encapsulation brand is a bit too pricey for my current budget, so I will be looking to try other cheaper brands with great reviews. I have to hope that they are as great as this brand.

this product is exceptional...i was recently nursing a girlfriends who has breast cancer.. I went and had my dna tests done.. i had large quantities of estrogen 4 in my system.. (its the bad estrogen that causes breast cancer...). I was given this product as my body wasn't eliminating toxins. like petroleums... and other toxins..soon my bathroom smelt like a gas station.. as the toxins started to come out.... after 3 months... my bad oestrogen were not there .. only my good estrogen's.. my live is happy..... i love it...and now do a maintenance once a year.

I had my hormones tested and I was hugely estrogen dominant. Like, my estrogen was over 100 points higher than the highest it should ever be during the month. I started DIM detox and also implemented a regiment of natural estrogen blockers such as Nettle Tea, Turmeric Root tea, broccoli sprouts for extra sulfurphane, etc. and when she tested my sex hormones again 6-8 weeks later, my levels were TOTALLY within range!!! All of them! Even my hyperthyroidism was gone. I absolutely credit this amazing product for that!! Thank you, Pure Encapsulations! This is the only product with other amazing liver cleansing stuff that my body also needed like Sulfurophane, NAC and ALA. Amazing!

My sister and I have symptoms of estrogen dominance. Sensitivity in the chest area, bloating before periods, and *heavy* periods/clotting. I have recently discovered that my family has a seemingly genetic issue regarding an inability to detox, so we have been taking DMSO and chorella along with other natural detox and sulfur rich products. Our health improved but there still seems to be a hormone related issue that we can't shake.

I am thinking about coupling this product with progesterone oil.

I will update if we notice positive results from this product!

DIM is such an Incredible product for women especially to keep the testosterone pathways open. So much literature on DIM is coming out and it’s well worth researching. If you’re a female who receives testosterone pellet injections, hopefully from a licensed medical provider, you absolutely have to take 1-2 DIM to avoid side effects...I trust Pure Ecap above any other DIM product.

I love it! I quit the pill 4 months ago. My cycles were regular up until the 4 month mark. My period was 2 weeks late, and I was so bloated and uncomfortable, when I started the DIM Detox. After 5 days I think, my period started! I take a pill twice a day, with barely any side effects. I only had side effects on the first day, where I was a little dizzy, lightheaded, and a bit nauseous. The detox is balancing my hormones, which is great. I will continue to take the detox for a few months at least, I really want to get the BC out of my system, I've been on the pill for years. I'm so glad I can finally quit successfully

I notice a huge difference in my hormonal cystic acne when taking this product. I took it for a few months and then stopped, thinking my skin had improved solely due to the laser treatments I was getting. When I stopped, I started getting cystic acne around my chin and lower cheeks almost immediately, and my skin was much oilier and inflamed. After taking this again for about a week, I started to notice the inflammation decreasing and my skin started to clear up again. I'm not going to make the mistake of stopping DIM again!

I have been using this off and on for about a year. I get tired of paying the high price or think I dont need the extra ingredients and try another brand and within a week I can tell that the new brand is not working. This stuff is really great. It has kept my fibroids from increasing over the past year ( I dont think they have shrunk, but I have been able to avoid surgery) and it keeps my skin clear.

This has been nearly life changing. I find relief in PMS-PMDD. I was extremely irritable in evening and short tempered with kids particularly week before period. This has helped ease that a lot. This works by getting rid of excess bad estrogen break down products. Thought to help prevent estrogen driven cancers as well. I plan to continue using this product. The dose of 100 mg is as recommended when researched. More than that may have negative effects.

What can I say, it works as advertised. I have serious issues with estrogen sensitivity, even with strict diet changes. I've been taking it for few months now. First month or so I would get headaches from this, so I lowered the dose, allowed it to work it's magic slowly. Don't give up. Drink tons of water (can't stress that one enough), and work yourself up to 2/day. I am no longer suffering from sore breasts or extreme bloatage/water gain, highly recommended.

I started taking this several years ago, and my hot flashes vanished! I ran out for a few weeks, and they came back. I don't know who called them "flashes" because they last for 1/2 an hour, but once I started taking these capsules again, 1 in the morning, one at night, the heat of menopause/peri menopause once gain is a thing of the past.

I will keep buying this, as I'm sure it is helping to balance other aspects of my body as well.
