Essential oils are highly concentrated extracts from plants that "retain the natural smell and flavor of their source."
What does "highly concentrated" mean? Take this example: It takes 220 pounds of lavender flowers to make one pound of lavender essential oil.
People use essential oils in countless ways, including aromatherapy, as part of natural home cleaning products, in cosmetics, to support health and wellness, and much more.
One cosmetic use for essential oils is in essential oil lip balms. Their growing popularity means that many essential oil fans find themselves looking for essential oil lip balm recipes.
