This high-CFU, hypoallergenic blend of 10 probiotic species is specifically formulated to support a woman’s genitourinary system. The presence of Lactobacillus species is essential to a healthy genitourinary system for girls and women of all ages. Lactobacilli modulate the mucosal immune response to undesirable microorganisms, secrete biosurfactants to block their adherence and disrupt biofilm formation, produce lactic acid to promote a healthy vaginal pH, and generate bacteriocins. Certain lactobacilli and bifidobacteria secrete short-chain fatty acids and hydrogen peroxide, which further discourage colonization by undesirable microorganisms and support the proliferation of beneficial microbiota.
