Jarrow Formulas® Vitamin D3 provides cholecalciferol, the more biologically active form of Vitamin D than ergocalciferol (D2). Vitamin D3 is converted by the kidneys into the hormone calcitriol, the active form of vitamin D3. Calcitriol enhances dietary calcium and phosphorous absorption, stimulates the synthesis of osteocalcin (an important structural protein in bone), and supports a healthy immune response.
Suggested Usage
Adults: Take 1 softgel once a day with a fat-containing meal, or as directed by your qualified healthcare consultant.

Vitamin (as D3 cholecalciferol) 25 mcg (1000 IU)
Other Ingredients: olive oil and softgel (bovine gelatin, glycerin, purified water).

This was a perfect product for me as I am allergic to soy and could not take vitamin D prescription or over the counter vit. D as they are soy based. This product is olive oil based. My vit. D levels went from critically low to normal after taking Jarrow Vit.D with olive oil. Thank you for a great product!!!

I have purchased this product several times. My Vitamin D3 level was very low and this brought my level up to normal. One of the reasons I chose this product is because it is in Extra Virgin Olive oil, and I was told to use products that are in Olive Oil.
