SAMe is produced in the liver from the amino acid methionine. In the body, SAMe functions as a methylation agent, transferring methyl groups between molecules. Folic acid and vitamin B-12 are necessary for the synthesis of SAMe, and deficiencies of these vitamins result in low concentrations of SAMe in the central nervous system (CNS).
Suggested Usage
One enteric coated tablet daily with food or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
