Premier Research Labs Rainshower Shower Replacement Cartridge is a dechlorinating shower filter that seeks to support healthy looking skin, hair and eyes. This filter fits Rainshower shower head model CQ-1000. Chlorine is a chemical element that is added to water supplies as a result of foreign microbes that may be present where the water is being sourced, inside of pipes or other locations as water moved to homes and businesses. Chlorine is oxidative to organic compound. This Rainshower replacement filter uses a carbon filter media to change the positive ions in chlorine to negative ions. This results in chlorine becoming chloride, which is harmless to organic compounds.
