Pregnenolone, 3-beta-hydroxy-5-pregnen-20-one, is a natural steroid hormone produced in the body from cholesterol. It has been described as the “Grandmother of all Steroid Hormones,” since all steroid hormones, over 150 of them, are derived from pregnenolone. In the body, Pregnenolone is converted to DHEA and/or progesterone. It is likely that the body will convert pregnenolone appropriately, according to its needs. The body makes 60% less of this hormone at age 75 than it does at age 35.
Suggested Usage
1 capsule daily, with a meal.

I take 3 with breakfast and 3 with dinner. Without it I am achy and tired but with it I have great energy all day and can stay focused.

My doctor has me on bioidentical hormones and in one of my books it says pregnenolone is helpful to add to that program. I can't tell one way or the other. I only take it a couple days a week. Not sure I would buy it again. Next appointment we do blood work so maybe that will help give me some information if I want to continue after this bottle.
