Essential for building healthy blood, iron is necessary for optimal wellbeing. If you need more iron in your diet, but are concerned about irritants or allergens in supplements, try Iron 5 mg from Kirkman's

Iron 5 mg is a hypoallergenic iron supplement containing 5 mg of iron as Ferrochel, a well-tolerated and bioavailable form of iron, per plant-cellulose capsule.

Essential to good health, iron plays a key role in the production of hemoglobin and myoglobin in the blood, and is necessary for the formation and oxygenation of red blood cells. In addition, it's important for growth and for a variety of enzymatic functions.

For optimal quality, this iron supplement is part of the Bio-Max Series from Kirkman. All products in this series use forms of nutrients that have been clinically proven to be among the best absorbed and most highly bioavailable.

This iron supplement is made using ferrous bis-glycinate chelate, or Ferrochel, from Albion Laboratories, Inc., a leader in quality mineral chelates. This iron chelate has been tested for safety and absorbability in animals, adults and children. While many iron supplements use iron in the form of ferrous sulfate, ferrous bis-glycinate chelate may be better tolerated and absorbed.

In addition to using a well-tolerated form of iron, Kirkman also uses hypoallergenic plant-cellulose capsules for individuals with allergies or sensitivities.
