Pancreatic Enzymes (formerly Dipan-9®) from Thorne Research provides undiluted pancreatin – lipase, protease, and amylase. Pancreatin promotes the digestion of fats, proteins, and carbs, and provides support for occasional indigestion.

Indigestion affects millions of individuals every day. Although diet greatly influences the frequency and severity of indigestion, indigestion is also related to less than optimal digestive enzyme activity, which can be worsened by illness, gall bladder removal, overuse of antacids, and aging. Pancreatin – a mixture of three digestive enzymes amylase, lipase, and protease – is essential to digestion and the absorption of numerous nutrients, especially fats. Supplementing with pancreatin can support digestion and provide nutritional support to individuals who have occasional indigestion. Because many pancreatin supplements contain lactose, which can cause digestive discomfort in individuals who are lactose intolerant, Thorne's Pancreatic Enzymes contains pancreatin that is not diluted with lactose.

Suggested Usage

Take 1-2 capsules with each meal or as recommended by a health-care practitioner.

The pancreatin in one capsule contains no less than:
Amylase 112,500 USP Units
Protease 115,000 USP Units
Lipase 17,500 USP Units
Other Ingredients: Hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule.

This product is not diluted with lactose.

Warnings

This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. Individuals with porcine allergies should not take this product.

It is not recommended to remove the Dipan-9 powder from the capsule to take orally, as it can be irritating to the oral mucosa.

DiPan did it again!!

Three years ago I was very busy and stressed at work. Began eating out and lots of packaged food which always sets my stomach off balance. It got progressively worse and worse to the point where I was having trouble eating anything. I tried two regular doctors and they just said take prilosec (a bandaid for the situation)... Didn't work. Then I tried a natropathic doctor and he reccomended taking dipan along with probiotic. Within a weak my stomach was back to normal. Now, two months ago exact same situation, started a new job working a lot stomach off balance. I lived in a different city so I couldn't see the same doctor. I should have just called him from the start but I wasted money on two regular doctors who told me to take prilosec again! After a month, more miserable I called the natropathic doctor and asked what he gave me three years ago. Within three days of taking dipan my stomach is back to normal. I gave the rest of my bottle to a friend and reccomended it to a third friend who is having stomach issues as well. Great product.
