Advanced Digestive Enzymes helps digest fats, proteins, and carbs by supplementing HCl, pepsin, pancreatin, and ox bile, which can be depleted by many things, including age, antacid overuse, and gallbladder removal.
Suggested Usage
Take 1-2 capsules with each meal or as recommended by your health professional.

Betaine Hydrochloride 480mg
L-Glutamic Acid Hydrochloride 480mg
Pancreatin (porcine) 140mg
Ox Bile concentrate 80mg
Pepsin (porcine) 70mg
Other Ingredients: hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule, leucine, silicon dioxide.

Warnings
This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
Bio-Gest should not be used concurrent with H2-blocking drugs and proton pump inhibitors because these drugs are intended to block the production of stomach HCl.
Bio-Gest should be used with caution in an individual with a history of a peptic or duodenal ulcer.
Keep out of reach of children.
Additional Information
It is not recommended to remove the Bio-Gest powder from the capsule to take orally, as it can be irritating to the oral mucosa.

My stomach doesn't produce enough hydrochloric acid to digest my food and this has been a very good aid as long as I remember to take it. When I take it religiously, I have had no problems with digestion.

Ideally this should be taken before you eat. However, when I eat beef too late at night, this definitely aids in the digestion of heavy foods so they will not sit in your stomach all night long.
