Metabolically Active Form of Folic Acid
High Potency Optimized Folate L-Methylfolate is a dietary supplement that uses a metabolically active form of folic acid that seeks to support a healthy cardiovascular system, help maintain neurotransmitter synthesis and cognition during normal aging processes. This supplement uses a bioactive form of folate known as 5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid (5-MTHF), which is 7 times more bioavailable than some other forms of folate that require certain types of enzyme activity to convert to 5-MTHF.
Folate supports normal cellular development, provides support for healthy-looking skin and a healthy immune system. Folate also helps maintain normal levels of homocysteine, which is an amino acid that supports artery structure and normal maintenance; and supports normal formations of endothelial, which supports the interior surface of vessels.
